What are the first mistakes that podcasters often make?

That’s what people do. If they turn you on, and you’re not interesting from the get goal, their problem would be turn you off and never come back. But if you say something that keeps them all way through, they put you on their subscriber list and they keep coming back.

What are the most important things to consider?

I don’t think anyone can tell anyone how to do a podcast. For the number of hours I put on the show, I couldn’t put on any kind of act.

Which podcast should I follow, why and how often?

The only one I listen to with any regularity is Carolla’s. I’ve listened to Marc Maron. It turns out the comedian is do better podcasting most. It’s kind of about the guests too. If you can hold people’s attention, you’re going to have a good show.
